November Public Meeting: Intro of new Board and Pot Luck dinner

The November General Members meeting will be great for the new board members and officers to meet and express experiences over the years as sailors and Pelagic members. The introductions and greets/meets are valuable so we all know each other.

Rich Afrikian will lead the discussion of some of my experiences with the small and big boat sailing he has done in the last 30 years or more, discuss the classes and learnings with the USCG auxiliary and the United States Sail and Power Squadron, and how significant Pelagic has been to me as a boat owner and in assisting others with sailing, prepping their boats for hauling and launching. We will then have the officers and board members present following with a bio of their history in our club and sailing.

We encourage members to attend if they can and meet us all. We will have a potluck with some good food and as many know including me the SHYC has an awesome menu and food too

In Person: Savin Hill Yacht Club doors open at 7:00pm. Meeting start at 7:30.

• New Commodore Rich Afrikian to lead a discussion about his sailing experiences over 30+ years
• A potluck dinner and snacks at Savin Hill Yacht Club. Please feel free to bring a dish to share
• We will discuss things such as the timing of meetings, Workshops to be held over the winter, Favorite trips, and introducing the new members as well as the long-timers
• Come to the meeting to wish (now) former board members well and to acknowledge and thank Alex Collier, Frank Prall, Anne Lynch, and Ellen O’Connell, PC, who have now left the Board after several years of service.
