How to apply to Pelagic Sailing Club

1. Determine the type of membership you would like:
  • Boat Owner - You own and maintain a properly-equipped cruising sailboat.
  • Skipper - You’re qualified to captain but don’t own a cruising sailboat.
  • Crew - You’re qualified to assist in the operation of a cruising sailboat.

2. Choose the application process most convenient for you:

3. Submit payment with your application

Annual dues are $120 for a single membership year or $160 for a couple membership per year which begins March 1. If you join after September 15, dues apply to current and following year. Couples/partners memberships are available; please contact the Correspondence Secretary  for more details.


4. Receive Welcome Aboard Package

Once your application has been accepted, the appropriate officer (Vice Commodore for Boat Owner and Skipper applicants, Rear Commodore for Crew applicants) will send you a packet that includes:

  • Welcome letter with further details about membership
  • Introduction of your Advocate and their contact information. The advocate will assist in planning evaluation sails to learn more about your seamanship skills and general compatibility with others.
