Kathy Abbass of the RI Marine Archeology Project will talk of how they closed in on Captain Cook’s Long Lost ship off the waters of Newport, RI. 

Captain Cook’s ship, the HMS Endeavor, was called “one of the greatest maritime mysteries of all time”.  The Endeavor was Australia’s equivalent of the Mayflower according to the Rhode Island Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission. 

The Pelagic public meeting starts at 6:30 with a social time with pizzas and drinks available downstairs in the lounge.  The Savin Hill Yacht Club is located at 400 Morrissey Blvd, Dorchester, MA.
