Bill Scanlon Speaks on Massachusetts Sailing

Bill Scanlon, founder of Mass Bay Sailors and Past Commodore of both Massachusetts Boating & Yacht Clubs Association (MBYCA) and Winthrop Yacht Club will be speaking at the open, public meeting of the Pelagic Sailing Club next Thursday, September 28th.

Bill is closely involved in many aspects recreational boating. His talk will be covering topics including Boston Harbor Islands, yacht clubs, commercial marinas and public access for private boaters. He will touch on controversial political actions and fun behind the scenes stories.

Join us and learn some inside information on the boating world and what it takes to become a 100-ton Captain.

General Meetings begin at 6:30 pm (local time) with a brief social among boat owners, skippers, crew, applicants, and guests. Following a brief business meeting, a noted speaker presents an interesting topic relevant to sailing and seamanship.
